How Ladoo Uses AI
Effective date: November 6, 2026
Ladoo lets businesses answer their phone calls with an AI assistant. This page explains, in plain language, what happens on a Ladoo call and what we do and don't do with call data.
If you called a business and reached a Ladoo assistant
- You were talking to an AI system, not a person. Every Ladoo assistant opens the call by saying so. Ask at any time and it will confirm it's an AI.
- The business you called is in charge. The business decides what the assistant knows and does, and is responsible for the call. Ladoo is a service provider that runs the assistant on the business's behalf.
- What happens to your call: your voice is converted to text in real time so the assistant can understand you, an AI model decides what to say, and a synthetic voice speaks the reply. The business receives a transcript, a summary and details such as your name, reason for calling and callback number, and these may be saved to its customer records. If the business turns on recording, the audio is saved too.
- You can reach a person. Ask for a person or to leave a message. What happens next depends on how the business has set up its assistant.
- Emergencies: Ladoo assistants can't call 911 or reach emergency services. If you have an emergency, hang up and dial 911.
- Your privacy rights: to access, correct or delete information from your call, contact the business you called. They control that data. You can also contact us at privacy@tryladoo.com and we'll pass your request to them. See our Privacy Policy.
Our commitments
- AI is always disclosed. Ladoo assistants start every call by saying they're an AI assistant, that the call may be recorded and transcribed, and that it's processed by service providers. Businesses can reword this greeting but can't remove it.
- Assistants never claim to be human. Our rules prohibit it, and assistants are instructed to confirm they're AI when asked.
- No training on calls. We don't use call audio, transcripts or caller information to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. We configure our AI providers not to train on it and, where they offer it, not to retain it (zero data retention).
- We use call data only for the business you called. We don't sell it, share it for advertising, combine it across businesses, or use it for our own purposes.
- No voice identification. We don't create voiceprints or identify callers by their voice.
- Humans stay responsible. We prohibit using assistants for emergencies, individualized medical, legal or financial advice without professional review, and decisions about credit, housing, employment, insurance or benefits. See our Acceptable Use Policy.
Limits of AI
AI assistants can mishear, misunderstand, or say things that are wrong. Businesses are responsible for reviewing and testing their assistants, and should confirm important details (like appointment times) directly. Nothing an assistant says is professional advice from Ladoo.
Providers
The AI and telephone services we use to run calls are listed on our Subprocessors page. Language model requests are routed with zero data retention required and provider data collection turned off.
Voices
The voices assistants use are synthetic voices from our voice provider's library. Customers may not clone or imitate a real person's voice without that person's explicit, documented consent. If you believe an assistant is using your voice or likeness without permission, email legal@tryladoo.com.
Questions or concerns
Report misuse of a Ladoo assistant (for example, an assistant that claimed to be human, or a scam call) to abuse@tryladoo.com with the phone number and the date and time of the call.
